When using one port for the optics together with a corresponding cannula and
one port for a different instrument, e.g. shaver:
• Connect irrigation tube and drain tube to instrument.
• Connect the shaver tube to the shaver. Keep the shaver valve open.
• Open inflow and drain valve on the instrument. The pump can be started.
Situation Action
Particles obstruct Press Wash on the wired remote control.
/prevent clear vision. If field of vision has not cleared or improved after
the cycle is complete, press Wash again. Pressing
the Wash key during the Wash mode stops the
function. The user can change the duration of the
Wash mode in the user menu.
Blood obstructs Increase of joint pressure above median blood
/prevents clear pressure.
vision. Close valve at shaver handpiece and wait briefly
until the intra-articular pressure has been
regenerated.
Press Wash on the wired remote control.
Increasing shaver Increase shaver suction capacity with the wired
suction output. remote control unit or directly on the device.
Remove optics. Close both valves (inflow and outflow).
Irrigate joint. Close the outflow valve.
Open and close the outflow valve at short time
intervals.
Connect shaver tube with outflow valve for more
rapid irrigation.
Open the clamp at the shaver tube.
