How to charge the Battery
• The charging process will start automatically as soon as the charger has been connected to the microphone unit and to the mains.
• After the test phase (red LED flashes for about 10 seconds) the charging process is started (red LED (3) illuminates permanently). Should the
red LED (3) still flash, the battery is defective or the discharging process has been started.
• After the charging process, the charger switches automatically to trickle charge (green LED (4) will illuminate permanently; red LED (3) is
off).
How to discharge the Battery
• If the battery is to be discharged before charging, you can start the discharging process by pressing the discharging button (2) for about
2 seconds. The discharging process, however, should be started after the test phase.
• After the discharging process, which can last in individual cases several hours, the charger automatically switches to charging.
The MCW-D microphone units can be also charged with the CA 2456 external
charger which is connected to the multi-function socket (1).
Important:
• When the microphone units are charged with the CA 2456, they are
not switched off automatically. Therefore, they must be switched off
manually (or via the MCW-D 200 control unit) before charging.
• It is normal that the rechargeable batteries are heated up during the
charging process.
• The charging time is around 4 hours when the battery is completely
empty.
