5.2.3 DC-powered MCW-D 2071 DC and MCW-D 2073 DC Versions

• The MCW-D 2071 DC and MCW-D 2073 DC have no integrated battery, but are DC-powered.
• The power cable is connected in a daisy chain. Connect the first microphone unit with a suitable power supply unit. Connect the second
microphone unit to the first, the third to the second and so on. For a suitable power supply unit please contact your beyerdynamic
representative.

Switching on
MCW-D 2073
• The microphone units have no separate on/off switch. They are switched on
and off with the microphone button (8).
• By pressing the button briefly, the microphone unit is switched on. The LED
(7) flashes for a moment and the green LED (2) on the rear is illuminated.
Switching off
• By pressing the button for more than 2 seconds the microphone unit is
switched off and the LED (7) will illuminate twice orange briefly.

• If you press the standby button (2) of the MCW-D 200 control unit for more
than 3 seconds, you switch off all switched-on MCW-D microphone units
within the range of the MCW-D 200 control unit.
• Furthermore, the microphone units are switched off automatically, when they
do not receive a signal from the control unit for more than 3 minutes.

Important:
• If the microphone unit is out of range of the MCW-D 200 control unit
the LED (7) will flash red. After approx. 3 minutes the microphone
unit will switch off automatically.
• If the system should fail to operate, i.e. the microphone unit is
switched on but no sound is heard, press the reset button (3) of the
control unit. Should the system still fail to operate, check the
audio configuration with the MCW-D 200 Editor Software. If the
system still does not operate then, please contact your beyerdynamic
representative.
