Charging the Battery
1) Slide the plug adapter onto the power supply until it locks into place.
2) Connect the round, three-pin plug of the power supply to the 12V receptacle on the battery charger so that the
plug locks into place.
INFORMATION: Ensure correct polarity (guide lug). Do not use force when connecting the plug on the
cable to the battery charger.
3) Connect the round, four-pin plug of the charging cable to the OUT receptacle on the battery charger so that
the plug locks into place.
INFORMATION: Ensure correct polarity (guide lug). Do not use force when connecting the plug on the
cable to the battery charger.
4) Plug the power supply into a wall socket.
→ The green LED on the back of the power supply and the green LED on the battery charger light up.

6.2 Connecting the Battery Charger to the Orthosis

During normal operation, the battery charge level is indicated by various beep signals.

Power supply and battery charger operational
1) Connect the charging plug to the charging receptacle on the orthosis.
INFORMATION: Observe the plug direction!
→ The yellow LED on the battery charger lights up.
2) The charging process starts.
→ After approx. 6-8 hours, the orthosis battery is fully charged and the yellow
LED turns off.
3) Disconnect the orthosis when the charging process is complete.
→ This is followed by an electronics self-test which is confirmed by beep sig­
nals. Then the orthosis switches to 1st mode.
Battery is being charged, battery capacity is less than 50%.
Battery is being charged, battery capacity is more than 50%.
Battery is fully charged (or connection to the orthosis is interrupted).
Note the beep signals to identify the charging state.
Upon connecting or disconnecting the battery charger, a self-test is conducted which is
confirmed by beep signals.
When these beep signals are heard, the battery is fully charged.
If no beep signals are heard, the battery is discharged or the connection to the orthosis
is interrupted.
