    Sie aus versicherungsrechtlichen Gründen Ihre Fahrtüchtigkeit von einer autorisierten Stelle überprüfen und bestätigen. Generell empfiehlt Ottobock, das KFZ von einem Fachbetrieb auf die jeweiligen Bedürfnisse umrüsten zu lassen (z. B. Automatikschaltung). Es muss sichergestellt sein, dass ein risikoloses Fahren auch ohne funktions- fähige Beinprothese möglich ist.

    Dies wird durch ein einmaliges Vibrations- und Beepsignal angezeigt. Trifft dies nicht zu, liegt eine Fehlfunktion vor.
