LOM Mode
CAUTION
Risk of falling when walking backwards
When putting down the toe first when walking backwards, the orthosis may switch from high stance phase resist
ance to swing phase resistance.
► Active flexion in the hip at this point in time can lead to falling.
→ Actively secure the orthosis with the residual musculature while walking backwards.
Lock mode: 1st mode with blocked knee flexion
This mode gives the patient a certain feeling of safety when first using the orthosis, since the orthosis will not bend,
but will straighten. The knee flexion is locked in the stance phase. Stance phase damping is set to the maximum.
Nevertheless, the swing phase is triggered when walking.
To allow the user to sit down with the knee joint flexed, it is necessary to manually switch to 1st mode before sitting
down.
STA Mode (Stance Function Timer [*20ms])
High stance phase damping (STP Flexion Damping) is automatically activated during an extended stance phase
with the knee slightly flexed (knee angle approx. 5° to approx. 20°). This occurs after the time 'Stance Function
Timer [*20ms]' has elapsed.
INFORMATION: If this mode is not desired, it can be deactivated by adjusting the parameter 'Stance Function
Timer [*20ms]'.
