12 Disposal
In accordance with our activities to protect the environment and also in your best interest, Ottobock offers you the
option of returning your orthosis to an Ottobock centre for disposal.

13 Legal Information

13.1 Liability

The manufacturer's warranty applies only if the device has been used under the conditions and for the purposes
described. The manufacturer recommends that the device be used and maintained according to the instructions for
use.
The manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by components and spare parts not approved by the
manufacturer. Repairs must be carried out exclusively by authorised dealers or by the manufacturer.

13.2 CE Conformity

The C-Brace 17B300=L or C-Brace 17B300=R joint module meets the requirements of the 93/42/EEC guidelines
for medical devices. This device has been classified as a class I device according to the classification criteria out­
lined in appendix IX of the guidelines. The declaration of conformity was therefore created by Ottobock with sole
responsibility according to appendix VII of the guidelines.

13.3 Trademarks

All denotations within this accompanying document are subject to the provisions of the respective applicable trade­
mark laws and the rights of the respective owners, with no restrictions.
All brands, trade names or company names may be registered trademarks and are subject to the rights of the
respective owners.
Should trademarks in this accompanying document fail to be explicitly identified as such, this does not justify the
conclusion that the denotation in question is free of third-party rights.

13.4 Warranty

Ottobock offers an extensive warranty in accordance with the terms and conditions. Please comply with the prescribed service
intervals.
