To ensure fulfilment of IP enclosure rating, correctly mounted cable glands is es-
sential for all peripheral cables.
To ensure EMC compliance, shielded cables must be applied for Sensor inputs and
RS485 communication. Unshielded cables may be applied for alarm outputs.
The supported cable type for Danfoss data loggers is STP (Shielded Twisted Pairs)
patch cable. The quality of the cable should be Cat 5e FTP or better, and the shield
is in this case terminated via the metallic RJ45 Plug.
Other auxiliary cables must pass through the designated EMC cable clamps to es-
tablish mechanical fixing and in case of shielded cable termination to the shielding
device.
