9. InItIal operatIon

The battery charger has to be operated with stabilised direct voltage (11-18V=) or on a suitable mains
adapter (which does not come with the unit).
Never operate the battery charger on a different voltage, as this would destroy the battery charger and
result in loss of the guarantee/warranty!
Depending on the accumulator connected, a charge current of up to 5A is possible. For this reason, the electric
supply chosen must be strong enough.
Connect the two alligator clips to the power supply or connect the suitable mains adapter.
The battery charger gives off a short signal sound, and the LC display with the designation for the battery charger
lights up.
The display then changes to the starting screen.

The first time the battery charger is put into operation it operates with certain basic settings, which you can adapt to
your special requirements in this menu item.
If you want to charge a lithium battery, you have to, for example, first preselect the relevant battery type and design
in this menu item.
