3.
Select the matching charging current for your accumulators on the right variable
transformer. Select the respective charging current.
The charging current should not exceed the value of 0.4 of the accumulator
capacity. Example:
2500 mAh * 0.4 = 1000 mAh ➔ 1000 mA charging current (= 1 A)
4300 mAh * 0.4 = 1720 mAh ➔ 2000 mA charging current (= 2 A)
With quick-charge accumulators, the charging current may not exceed the
accumulator capacity (e.g. accumulator 1000 mAh ➔ charging current 1A).
When in doubt, always select the lower charging current range.
4.
Connect the plug system matching your accumulator pack to the charger. The
Tamiya plug as well as the alligator clip are protected against wrong polarity and
only fit onto the charging cable in the right polarity. The round 5.5 mm hollow plug
can be used without having to observe the polarity. Observe the illustration below
to adjust the right polarity on the hollow plug.

INITIAL OPERATION

while charging it is perfectly normal for the accumulator to become
"slightly" hot. Never cover the charger to prevent damage (from
overheating).
Charging
1.
Set the charging parameters as described in "connection".
2.
Connect the accumulator with the right polarity and afterwards plug the mains plug
into a mains outlet (100 - 240 V/AC, 50/60 Hz).
3.
The charging process starts automatically. The status display lamp is red (=
charging).
a)
Discharging
To ensure the impeccable function of an accumulator after longer periods of
use (without memory effect), NiCd accumulators should only be charged when
empty. In addition, the accumulators should be charged/discharged once a month
(spontaneous discharge, capacity loss).
1.
In order to discharge a partially charged accumulator, press the "Discharge"
button. The discharge process starts. The status display changes from red to
yellow (= discharge).
2.
Pressing the "Discharge" button again in discharge mode switches to charge
mode. The status display switches to red.
3.
If the discharge process is not cancelled, the charger automatically switches to
charge mode with empty accumulators.
b)
Charge cutoff
The charger is equipped with a delta peak charge cutoff, which automatically stops
the charging process when the final charging voltage is reached and switches to
trickle charge mode.
The status display lamp is green (= accumulator full).
First pull the mains plug out of the outlet and then remove the accumulator from
the charger.
Prevent short circuits when removing.
DISPOSAL
a)
Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them
separately from the product.

b)
(Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used
batteries/rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is
prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations
for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead
(name on (rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your
municipality, our stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
