• Are all connector cables and plugs undamaged, do the plugs stay firmly in the sockets? Worn-out
plugs and damaged cables should be replaced.
• When connecting a accumulator to the charge, always connect the charging cable to the charger
first, then the accumulator to the charger/charging cable.
• When disconnecting, do so in reverse order to the above. Failure to do so presents the danger of a
short circuit (e.g. from the two 4mm circular connectors on the charging cable).
• Only ever charge one accumulator or accumulator pack at a time.
• If you wish to charge accumulator packs that you have manufactured yourself, the cells must be
identical in their construction (same type, same capacity, same manufacturer). The cells must also
be charged to the same level (LiPo batteries can be balanced out using the balancer, this is, howe-
ver, not possible with other accumulator packs such as NiMH or NiCd).
do not attempt to charge or discharge the following batteries:
• Battery packs with cells of different types, different capacity or from different manufacturers.
• Batteries that are already fully charged or only slightly discharged.
• Non-rechargeable batteries.
• Batteries that require different charging technology than do NiCd, NiMH, LiPo, LiIo, LiFe or Pb, or
batteries that are damaged, leaky or deformed
• Batteries with a protective circuit or an integrated charging circuit
• Batteries that are electrically connected to or built into other components
• Batteries which are expressly not permitted by the manufacturer for charging currents which occur
when charging with the Multicharger VC-1506.
