Do not leave the charger unattended while it is in operation.
Although there are a wide range of safety mechanisms on the charger, it is never possible to exclude
the possibility of the accumulator or charger becoming overheated or damage to the accumulator.
The use of charging cables that are too thin or problems with the contacts may be dangerous!
Check the temperature of the accumulator from time to time during the charging process.
NiMH and NiCd batteries become very hot when using high charge currents, with temperatures of
50°C or above possible. For this reason, only touch the accumulator with care. If the accumulator
overheats, it may be damaged. In this case, reduce the charge current.
LiPo batteries should generally not get warmer than is safe to touch during the charging process
(charge current max. 1C) A large temperature decrease indicates a defective accumulator or a defec-
tive cell in the accumulator pack.
For safety reasons, lithium accumulators (LiPo, LiIon, LiFe) with more than one cell must always be
charged using a charge process with balancer.
Batteries that are already charged, hot or not discharged must not be connected or charged.
Place the charger on a level, firm surface. It must be large enough so that the accumulator or accu-
mulator pack attached can be safety placed alongside the charger. Maintain a distance of minimum
20cm between the charger and accumulator (and the power supply) to prevent them from heating
each other up.
The accumulator/accumulator pack may not be placed on or under the charger!
When setting up and using the product, make sure that the cable is not folded or squeezed.
Never cover the charger and the accumulator! By preventing heat from escaping, not only will the
accumulator be destroyed, there is also a risk of fire and explosion!
The feet of the device and the temperature of the casing may produce pressure marks and discolou-
ration on sensitive surfaces. The same applies to the accumulator.
