3. If you wish to delete the speed setting from memory, hold the START | CANCEL button
pressed for 2 seconds, or simply wait for 2 minutes.
IMPoRTANT: The repeat function runs for 3 minutes at the maximum, unless you stop ope-
ration by pressing the START | CANCEL button. The recent timer setting is ignored.
After Processing
1. Press the ON | OFF button to switch off the appliance, and unplug.
2. Remove the jug from the power base. Remove the lid from the jug, and empty the jug.
3. Clean the appliance and all used parts according to the instructions in chapter ›Care and
Cleaning‹.

SolvINg PRoBlEMS

If any problems occur during operation, you will find solutions in this section.
Problem
The appliance does not
respond. The cutting blades
do not move.
Food is unevenly chopped.
Food is chopped too finely
or is watery.
›OVERLOAD PROTECTION‹
flashes on the LCD screen
and the appliance does not
respond.
Possible Reason
The appliance is not live.
The jug is not correctly mounted on
the power base.
Is the ON | OFF button illuminated?
When the appliance has been idle
for more than 5 minutes, the appli-
ance switches off automatically.
Too much food is in the jug.
The ingredients may be too large.
The ingredients are over-processed.
Food sticks to the cutting blades
and jug.
The mixture may be too thick.
This appliance has a motor
protection feature to protect against
overheating..
The Solution
Please check:
– Is the appliance connected to the power supply?
– Is the power outlet live? Check by connecting a lamp.
Check, whether the jug and lid are securely in place.
Switch ON the appliance using the ON | OFF button.
Try a smaller amount, and work in batches, if necessary.
Cut the ingredients into smaller pieces. For best results, the pieces
should be no larger than 2 cm.

Try adding more liquid and/or using a slower speed.
Turn the appliance off by pressing the ON | OFF button on the

If ›OVERLOAD PROTECTION‹ is still flashing: Repeat and leave
the appliance separated from the power supply for at least 20 to
30 minutes.
Once ›OVERLOAD PROTECTION‹ has disappeared from the LCD
screen the appliance is ready to be used again.
We recommend blending in smaller batches, and/or cutting
ingredients into smaller pieces.
