General

Important! Before starting an error search, read the „Function overview" section and
study the entire circuit diagram in order to understand the layout and operation of the
Robacta Drive CMT.

10. Check that cover and cover hinge are firmly seated and undamaged
11. Check tie rod with spring hanger for ease of motion
12. Check that the external wirefeeding hose is easy to replace
13. Check media guide for cracks/breaks
14. Check optional wire value sensor if present:
15. Check water stop on torch neck coupling for dirt
16. Check electronic box for external damage/break
17. Check connectors for motor, LHSB control lead and robot cut-out device for
18. Check that the securing plate is around the connectors and that that the Allen nuts
19. Check CMT hose coupler for damage
20. Open back panel, check for damage
21. Check O-rings for tightness and dirt
22. Check torch neck for damage
23. Check wire guide for wear or that sliding contact is secure
Check every 2 seals on the media guide and on the base plate
No warranty for broken seal
Check motor housing for mechanical damage
Important! A broken motor housing is a total loss, replace the drive unit.
Check mounting bracket, fitting surface and centring bolt
Check drive roller for wear or build-up
Check motor shaft for ease of movement
The motor shaft must be easy to move by hand
Check wire infeed:

The wire inlet nozzles must not be damaged or worn

The wire inlet is located in an axle with the groove of the drive roller
Check counter roller for bearing damage
Check the bolt of the counter roller:
The bolt is secure and has not been knocked out
Check swivel lever for ease of movement
Important! Broken plastic on the media guide is a total loss, replace the drive unit.
