The smoothing sonotrodes can also be used for smoothing out sharp or projecting edges of the
membrane or foil.
Place the tip of the smoothing sonotrode at the edge of the membrane or foil.
•
Exert just a little pressure on the edge of the membrane or foil.
•
Operate the activation pushbutton until the membrane liquefies visibly. As long as the
•
pushbutton is pressed down, the activation LED (9, front fold-out page) lights up on the
handpiece and an acoustic signal is heard in addition.
• Run the tip of the sonotrode very slowly along the edge of the membrane/foil during
activation of the system.
NOTICE
If activation is continued for 60 s, the handpiece will be switched off automatically and the
activation LED (9, front fold-out page) will go out.

Putting the Unit out of Operation

To put the unit fully out of operation:
Operate the On/Standby switch (4, front fold-out page).

— This sets the unit to standby mode and the display (3, front fold-out page) turns dark.
Disconnect all system components (sonotrode from handpiece, handpiece with connecting

cable from ultrasonic unit and mains cable from ultrasonic unit).
For all-pole disconnection of the unit from the power supply, pull the mains plug.
