Once the SonicPin has solidified, remove the sonotrode tip with a twist.

Resorb x or Resorb xG mesh or foils can also be fixed as follows:
First, implant a sufficient number of SonicPins in the bone as described above, using the
•
standard sonotrodes (11, 13, front fold-out page) for pin insertion.
Put the Resorb x
•
• Use the smoothing sonotrode (14, 15, front fold-out page) or the angled working end of
the standard sonotrode (13, front fold-out page) to weld the Resorb x
membrane or foil in place on the inserted pins.
− Place the tip of the smoothing sonotrode onto the membrane/foil at the point of
contact between the membrane/foil and the SonicPin underneath.
− Exert just a little pressure on the membrane/foil.
— Operate the activation pushbutton until the membrane liquefies visibly. As long as the
pushbutton is pressed down, the blue activation LED (9, front fold-out page) lights up
on the handpiece and an alert is sounded in addition.
Do not move the tip of the sonotrode for at least 3 s after operating the
−
pushbutton.
— Once the membrane/foil has solidified again, withdraw the tip of the sonotrode.
Repeat this procedure to fix the Resorb x
•
remaining SonicPins.
