Operating Principle and Use of the Device
Work mode: Peak shift
The battery is forcibly charged or discharged at the cor-
respondingly set times (for instructions on setting, see
"Operation and Setting" / "User setting" / "System setting"
/ "Work mode").
Particularly in regions with large differences in energy
prices, costs can be reduced by avoiding the use of elec-
tricity from the public grid at peak load times.
With energy supply from PV, grid and battery:
• The solar energy generated is primarily used to charge
the battery. During the discharge time of the battery,
the connected loads are primarily supplied by it.
• If more solar energy is generated than is needed to
charge the battery, the surplus energy is delivered
to the connected loads.
Further surpluses are fed into the grid.
• If the solar energy is not sufficient to charge the battery
and supply the connected loads, the additional energy
required is provided from the grid.
• If more solar energy is generated during battery dis-
charge than is needed to supply the connected loads,
the excess energy from the solar modules and battery
is fed into the grid.
• At times when the battery is neither charged nor
discharged, the solar system primarily supplies the
connected loads. Surplus energy is fed into the grid.
With energy supply from mains and battery, without PV:
• During the charging time of the battery, the energy re-
quired for charging the battery as well as for supplying
the connected loads is provided from the grid.
• If the load power is lower than the battery power during
discharge, the battery primarily supplies the loads
with power, the surplus energy is fed into the grid.
• If the power of the battery is not sufficient to supply
the loads, the additional energy required is provided
from the grid.
