3.1 Norme per la presa in morsa
Alcune procedure di manutenzione possono richiedere l'uso
della morsa per serrare alcuni componenti della forcella.

TTENZIONE
Un utilizzo non corretto della morsa può arrecare danni
irreparabili alla forcella, causando incidenti, ferite o morte.
Rispettare scrupolosamente le seguenti indicazioni:
•
Limitare l'uso della morsa a quelle operazioni dove
l'utilizzo è indispensabile.
•
Usare sempre una morsa con ganasce in materiale tenero.
•
Non eccedere nel serraggio della morsa.
•
Non stringere parti della forcella in cui anche una minima
ovalizzazione potrebbe danneggiare il pezzo e causare
malfunzionamenti al sistema di sospensione.
•
Nella fi gura sono evidenziate le zone raccomandate per
fi ssare la forcella alla morsa.
A - Piede portaruota.
B - Portastelo nella zona di fi ssaggio della base di sterzo.
C - Presa di chiave della valvola di compressione.
D - Cartuccia, nella presa di chiave del tubetto-custodia.

3.1 Instructions for Clamping in the Vice
Some maintenance procedures may require the use of a
vice to hold some component of the fork.

ARNING
The incorrect use of a vice can cause irreparable
damage to the fork. A damaged fork can result in an
accident, personal injury or death.
Strictly follow the instructions given below.
•
Limit the use of a vice to those operations where it is
absolutely necessary.
•
Always use a vice with padded jaws.
•
Do not over-tighten the vice.
•
Do not clamp parts of the fork where the slightest
deformation could damage the part and cause the
suspension system to malfunction.
•
The fi gure shows the areas of the fork recommended for
clamping the fork in a vice.
A - Wheel axle clamp.
B - Slider in the steering crown fi xing zone.
C - Compression valve spanner seizing.
D - Cartridge in the tube-sleeve spanner seizing zone.
