c) Setting the dual rate function
By means of the dual rate function you can reduce the steering angle, but also the driving
speed of the model when necessary.
This function is absolutely necessary when children or inexperienced people control the model
for the first time. Especially when the model drives directly towards you, you easily steer in the
wrong direction. When the engine runs slowly such steering faults are easier to correct.
If you want to reduce the pre-set value of 100%, please proceed as follows:
• Switch the transmitter on. In the LCD of the transmit-
ter the operation mode display appears.
• Now press the set key (see fig. 1, no. 12) three times.
On the left side of the display "CH1" for the steering
servo lights up and the default value or the one that
was last programmed appears.
• To set the dual rate value of the steering servo, press
the DT1 button (see fig. 1, no. 3) within 5 seconds.
If you push the button to the left, the number reduces
in 1% steps. This reduces the maximum rotation an-
gle of the steering servo to both sides.
If you push the button to the right, the number in-
creases in 1% steps. The admissible setting for the
dual rate is between 5% and 100%.
• Five seconds after the last activation of a button, the
value you last set is saved and the display returns to
the operation mode display.
• To set the dual rate of the throttle servo or the reac-
tion of the speed control, press the set key (see fig. 1,
no. 12) four times after you have switched the trans-
mitter on.
On the left side of the display "CH2" for the throttle
servo lights up and the default value or the one that
was last programmed appears.
• The procedure for setting the dual rate for the throt-
tle function is the same as for the steering servo.
Set a value of 100% for the steering and speed function. Later, when you operate
the model, you can reduce this value to achieve a perfect adaptation to your model.
For the additional servo (CH3) there is no dual rate function. The end positions are
set precisely by means of the EPA function, described in the following paragraph.
