c) Mounting the servos

Mounting the servos depends on the respective model. For further details please refer to the
construction documentation of the model.
You should always try to fasten the servo in a vibration-reduced way. For this purpose some
servos have been equipped with rubber bushings with metal sleeves (see fig. 11, no. 4).

d) Checking the steering function

Now connect the servos or speed controls used in your model and also the power supply to
the receiver. Then switch on the transmitter and afterwards the receiver.
If you have connected everything correctly, the steering system should react to the rotation
movement of the steering wheel (see fig. 1, no. 4) and the drive of the model should react to
the speed lever (see fig. 1, no. 5).
Should the steering or speed function react in the exact opposite way to the steering direction
in the transmitter, this can be corrected very easily. For the correct programming procedure,
please refer to the following chapter "Programming the RC unit", paragraph "Setting the direc-
tion of rotation of the servo".
If the operating switch (no. 1 – or fig. 1, no. 7) for the
additional servo, the servo level of the servo connected
to the receiver output 3 turns from one final position to
the opposite one. If you press the operating button (1)
once more, the servo lever returns to its original end
position.
If you activate the braking or reversing function and the
servo lever in the throttle or speed control servo moves
continuously back and forth, the ABS function has been
activated in the RC unit. For further information on the
ABS function and the procedure for its deactivation, see
section 12. e).
