f) Mounting the servo lever
When you have checked and set the servo neutral position, you can now mount the servo
levers (1) to the throttle and steering servo in such a way that they have the same space on the
right and left and forwards and backwards. Usually the servo lever will then be at a 90° angle
to the servo (2). The steering linkage must be mounted in such a way that it runs smoothly and
has no tolerance and should also be at a 90° angle to the servo lever.
Should the toothing of the servo lever not allow an exact 90° angle, you can later compensate
for the tolerance in the fine-tuning process by means of the trim.
The lever at the additional servo must be mounted in such a way that it can turn from one final
position to the other one without hitting anything when you press the button (fig. 1, no. 7).
Note:
The figure on this page shows the linkage of a mechani-
cal speed control (3) for illustration.
For further information about the mechanical linkage of
a carburettor, please refer to the chapter "Setting the
digital speed trim when a throttle servo is used".
If you use an electronic speed control, it is sufficient for
the beginning to set the trimming for the speed func-
tion to 0%.
