b) Setting the digital speed trim
In the same way as for the digital steering trim, you can electronically adjust the stop position
of the speed lever.
It is irrelevant whether you use a servo in your model, which operates the carburettor of a
combustion engine or activates a mechanical speed control, or an electronic speed control.
The setting of the digital speed trim is always the same.
You can set the central position of the connected servo or speed control by means of the DT2
button (see fig. 1, no. 12) in such a way that the electrical engine in your model always switches
off reliably, or the combustion engine runs cleanly in idle speed, as required.
Next to the throttle servo display (CH2) and the two
direction arrows "L.F.U." or "R.B.D.", the percentage of
the set trim appears in the display.
Five seconds after the last activation of a button, the
value you last set is saved and the display returns to the
operation mode display.
Setting the digital speed trim when an electronic speed
control is used
Should it be able to program the electronic speed control for different positions (engine off, full
speed and reverse), you can leave the trim set to 0%.
Should the control unit not be programmable, determine the value at which your model rolls
slightly backwards and forwards. Then set the precise number between the limit values.
