h) Mounting the servo levers
After checking or setting the servo neutral position, you can now mount
the servo levers (1) on the throttle and steering servo (see ill. 12, pos.
1) in such a way that the rotation path is the same to the left and to the
right and to the front/rear.
Usually this will be the case when the servo lever is at a 90° angle to
the servo (see ill. 12, pos. 2). The steering linkage must be installed
so that it moves easily and without play. It, too, should be positioned
in a 90° angle to the servo lever.
If the teeth of the servo lever do not allow an exact 90° angle, you can
compensate the tolerance later on when fine-tuning the model using
Figure 12
the trimming.
The lever on the additional servo (channel 3) must be mounted in such a way that it can rotate from one end position
to the other when pushing the switching button (see ill. 1, pos. 7) without hitting any mechanical stops or being limited
in any other way.
Illustration 12 shows the linkage of a mechanical drive control (3) as an example. For more information on the mechanical
steering of a drive control or carburettor, refer to section "Adjusting the digital drive trimming".
When using an electronic drive control, it is initially sufficient to set the trimming for the drive function to 0 and the dual-
rate value to 100%.
