8. Overview
Contrast control
The reading angle of the display depends on the position of the Charge Terminal.
Depending on the angle of view, legible figures can be set by means of the "CON-
TRAST" control in case of a high or low position of the Charge Terminal.
LED status indicators (red and green LED)
- no storage battery recognized or pause no LED lights
- during the charging process green LED is flashing
- program finished green LED lights
- during the discharging process red LED is flashing
- error or break-off red LED lights

Connect the storage battery pack . If the storage battery is not recognized automati-
cally, check the polarity: Otherwise, start REFRESH.
Enter all parameters.
In case of wrong setting, disconnect the storage battery pack, connect it again and
enter the parameters again.
The charging modes CHA, DIS, CHK, CYC, ALV, SLF and WIN can be selected.
When the Charge Terminal has finished charging the storage battery pack, the dis-
play indicates RDY.
Remove the storage battery.
The three keys have no function during the charging program.
In case of power failure or disconnecting or switching of the Charge Terminal, the
data and settings remain stored, provided the storage battery pack is not dis-
connected.
Environmental Note !
The user is legally obliged (old battery regulation) to return all
used batteries (from round cells to lead storage batteries) to a
specialist dealer's shop where there are special facilities (collec-
ting boxes). It is forbidden to dispose of batteries in the garbage
bin or litter.
You can return your used batteries and storage batteries free of
charge either to our subsidiaries or to our central office in Hir-
schau or reusable-waste facilities which are obliged to take back
old batteries.

1.Prescribed Use

This Charge Terminal is intended for charging NiCd and NiMH storage battery packs
consisting of storage batteries of the sizes R20 (mono cell), R14 (baby cell), R6 (mig-
non cell) and sub-C cells. The storage battery packs may consist of 1 to 20 cells. Do
not charge storage battery packs consisting of storage batteries of type R03 (micro
cell) and R1 (lady cell) with this Charge Terminal! The nominal capacity of these sto-
rage battery types ( indicated in mAh or Ah) is not important.
