Avoid explosive gases, flames and sparks!
Ensure sufficient ventilation during the charging process.
Before closing or opening connections to the battery, separate the
device from the mains voltage.
Do not charge or discharge lithium-ion storage batteries with this
Charge Terminal!
Do not charge dry batteries (primary cells) with the Charge Terminal.
Do not charge rechargeable alkaline batteries with the Charge Termi-
nal.
Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries with the Charge Terminal.
Please ensure correct polarity when connecting the storage batteries.
Only operate the Charge Terminal in dry and closed rooms.
Never operate the Charge Terminal unattended.
Keep mains units and charging devices out of reach of children!
Please observe the VDE regulations, especially DIN VDE 0700, part 29.
The connecting terminals of the Charge Terminal carry a maximum of
32 V direct voltage (DC).
The Charge Terminal is short circuit-proof.
Only operate the Charge Terminal at ambient temperatures of 0 to 40
degrees Celsius (°C).
Never turn on the Charge Terminal immediately after it has been bro-
ught from a cold into a warm room. Condensation water that forms
might destroy your device. Leave the Charge Terminal switched off
and wait until it has reached room temperature.
Please ensure sufficient ventilation during operation. Never cover the
ventilation apertures at the front and the back of the Charge Terminal.
Never place the device onto a table cloth or a carpet! Place it onto a
hard and flame-retardant surface. The cooling of the device is ensured
by the built-in fan which is switched on during charge and discharge

If the Charge Terminal is switched off during the setting of the charging or dischar-
ging parameters, the setting has to be started again.
The programs only can be continued if the integrated gold cap was charged before.
For this, the Charge Terminal must have been switched off for at least two hours.
Wrong setting might involve damages of the storage battery and
the Charge Terminal: the storage battery pack is either not char-
ged completely or overcharged. In this case, the guarantee beco-
mes invalid!
6. Troubleshooting
With the Charge Terminal 3000 you acquired a state-of-the-art and technically relia-
ble product.
However, problems or failures might occur. Therefore, we would like to explain how
you can remedy possible failures on your own:
problem:
no function or no display indication
solution:
- Is the contrast adjusted correctly?
- Is the device switched on?
- Is the mains plug of the device connected with the mains socket?
- Check the socket with another electrical device
problem:
no storage battery recognized
solution:
- Did you observe correct polarity of the storage battery?
- Are the contacts dirty (contacts of the Charge Terminal and/or of the storage bat-
tery)?
- Is the storage battery/ storage battery pack exhausted?
problem:
wrong or strange values indicated on the display
solution:
- You replaced the storage batteries when the device was switched off. This invol-
ves wrong charging capacities (C) or discharging capacities (D) and might also
involve damages of the storage batteries!
