WARNING
Risk of accident and injury due to improper use for
transportation in motor vehicles for the disabled. The
power wheelchair is permissible for transporting passen-
gers in motor vehicles when using safety components
(such as lap belt) as well as appropriate restraint systems
offered by Ottobock. The power wheelchair may be used
for transporting only one person. We recommend that
wherever and whenever possible, power wheelchair users
transfer in the seats installed in the motor vehicle and use
the corresponding vehicle restraint system, because this
is the only way to ensure optimal protection of the passen-
gers in case of an accident.

The power wheelchair may generally be used in motor ve-
hicles for the disabled without seat tilt.

WARNING
Risk of accident and injury due to incorrect transporta-
tion in aeroplanes. In aeroplanes, the power wheelchair
has to be transported in compliance with IATA regulations
(International Air Transport Association). To this end, the
fuse must always be removed and the battery connectors
must be insulated so that they are short-circuit-proof prior
to check-in of the power wheelchair as luggage.
Note that those batteries in particular which may leak or
will not be transported upright must be removed and pa-
ckaged so they cannot leak or short circuit.

Risk of damage as a result of improper transportation.
For transportation of the power wheelchair, only use hois-
ting devices with a sufficient capacity. The A200 must be
secured in accordance with the regulations for the trans-
portation device used. Only attach the tensioning straps
to the corresponding attachment eyes.
