3.3 INSTALLING THE PRODUCT: This product must be installed appropriately according to its intended application.
A. SECURING TO AN ANCHORAGE POINT: To secure the product to an anchorage point, attach the anchoring
carabiner (A) to the anchorage point (B). Alternatively, a connecting subsystem (C) may be secured between the
anchorage point and the product, or the anchoring carabiner may be secured to an anchorage connector (D) or
similar device. See Figure 6A for reference.
B. MOUNTING ON A TRIPOD: This product may be mounted on a tripod when used with the Hand Winch accessory
(8900098). See Figure 6B for reference. To mount the product on a tripod:
1. Attach the R350 device to the tripod. Secure the Anchoring Carabiner (A) to the Connection Eye (B) of the
tripod.
2. Secure the Hand Winch to the tripod. Open the Jaws (C) of the Hand Winch. Place the open jaws around the
tripod leg, then close the jaws around the mounting location.
3. Secure the Brake Handle to the Hand Winch. Thread the locking pins of the Hand Winch through the Anchor
Eyes (D) of the Brake Handle.
4. Thread the lifeline through the Hand Winch. The free end of the Lifeline (E) should be threaded around
these components in the following order: the Support Wheel (F), the Friction Wheel (G), the Auxiliary Wheel (H),
and the Output Guide (I).
