19. Troubleshooting
Fault
Diamond cutting wheel is
loose after the engine is
switched off
Engine does not start
The motor has no power
Engine switches off
during work
The pump shuts off
The cutting process is
not optimal
Possible cause
Fixing nut not tight enough
Mains fuse blown
Extension lead defective
Connection to the motor or
switch not OK
Engine or switch faulty
Cross section of the extension
cable insufficient
Overload
The diamond cutting wheel is
blunt
The engine switches off due to
overloading, e.g. from excessive
cutting depth
The pump switches off due to
overloading, e.g. due to heavy
contamination
The cutting wheel is too heavily
stressed
Diamond segments are too dull
The cutting wheel has
overheated due to insufficient
cooling water

Remedy
Tighten fixing nut
Check mains fuse
Replace extension lead
Have this checked by an electrician
Have this checked by an electrician

Check tool
Replace the diamond cutting wheel with a new
one
Wait until the engine has cooled down (5-10
minutes), then switch it on again
Immediately shut down the machine. Clean the
pump and restart the machine after approx. 5-10
minutes. Attention! Never perform dry cuts!
Use a suitable cutting wheel, reduce cutting
pressure
Sharpen the cutting wheel
Optimise the cooling water supply
