9.4.3 Switching the steam boiler on or off
1. Press the right-hand button once during operation.
The steam boiler is switched on or off depending on the current setting.

9.5 Filling the water tank with water
NOTICE
Damage due to overflowing water
The water tank can overflow and leaking water can get into the machine.
• Fill the water tank to just below the edge.
• Do not spill any water over the machine when filling the tank.
To fill the water tank, it can be taken out of the machine or filled directly using
a container. Only operate the machine with fresh, soft drinking water (up to 4°
dH = German degree of hardness) Do not use carbonated water.
The following messages indicate that the water needs to be topped up:
DRIVE_BA_V3.0
This icon appears when pre-infusion has been
activated.
This icon appears when pre-infusion has been
deactivated.
Steam boiler switched on:
The steam temperature is shown below the brew
temperature on the display.
Steam boiler switched off:
Only the brew temperature is shown on the display.
