Communication via TCP
5.2.2
If the IP address of the device is known, a TCP connection to the TW 7200 (server) can be established on port
50,000. The device only allows a TCP connection to a control device (client). All commands from the RS
command list are supported.
The TCP connection of the client must be persistent, i.e. it must remain open as long as communication is to take
place. This enables the TW 7200 to send responses to the client independently via the open TCP connection.
It is therefore similar to a connection via serial interface. In some terminal programs instead of a COM port a TCP
port can be defined in the same way, which can be used to communicate with the same command list.
Likewise, incoming messages that do not correspond to the address of the TW 7200 are forwarded to the DC2
interface, and the responses from devices connected there are sent back via the TCP connection.
