System preparations
Installation of the hose bracket
2.4.1
The hose holder is attached to the mounting holes provided for this purpose on the back of the TW 7200 using
the knurled screws supplied.
When subsequently attaching the hoses and electrode cables, ensure that they are not kinked during the entire
movement sequence.
Installation of the titration head
2.4.2
The sample changer is delivered from the factory without titration head.
When mounting or removing the titration head, make sure that the horizontal arm is retracted.
Adjusting the lifting height
2.4.3
The sample changer is factory-set to a stroke height of approx. 130 mm (half travel).
It is possible to change the stroke height by software commands.
Connecting a titration system or to a PC
2.4.4
The TW 7200 sample changer is connected to a titration system via the TZ 3094 data cable or directly to a PC
via the TZ 3097 data cable or directly to a PC via the. For this purpose, the upper of the two 4-pole mini DIN
sockets (data communication RS-232-C interface) can be used. In addition, a USB mini-B socket or the LAN
connection are also available.
If the connection to a PC is made via the supplied USB cable (Type A (M) --- USB Type Mini-B (M), 2.0 m), a
driver is required. This driver is located on the USB stick of the TitriSoft. If the PC is connected to the Internet, the
driver will be installed automatically. Communication via the USB-RS interface is possible immediately. For
further information see  section 4.
Electrodes, titration tips, stirrers
2.4.5
The required electrodes and titration tips are inserted into the corresponding bores (NS 14.5) of the titration head.
A possibly used rod stirrer (TZ 1846 or TZ 1847) is also inserted into one of the bores. The electrical connection
of the stirrer is established with a cable attached to the titration head to the socket "Stirrer" on the rear of the
TW 7200.
The stirring speed can be adjusted by software commands. With the potentiometer on the back of the TW 7200
can be used to limit the maximum possible speed of the built-in magnetic stirrers. If the maximum possible stirring
speed is to be adjustable by RS command, the potentiometer must be set to maximum level.
Cleaning
2.4.6
The TW 7200 is a maintenance-free device. For safe and precise operation, it is necessary to keep the device
clean. A soft cloth moistened with water or a mild cleaning agent should be used for (external) cleaning.
Make sure that no liquid enters the device during cleaning! If a titration or rinsing vessel overflows, or if
small amounts of liquid spill over the TW 7200 sample changer, it must be switched off (then disconnect the
power supply from the mains) and cleaned (dried). If larger quantities of liquid enter the device, it must be
ensured that the device is completely dry and safety-checked before it is switched on again.
Decontamination
If the sample changer has been contaminated with substances that require special decontamination, it must be
decontaminated in accordance with the relevant regulations.
Plug the low-voltage cable of the TZ 1853 power supply unit into the upper 12 V socket "in". Only then plug the
power supply unit into the mains socket.
