3.3
I/O connection of the sample changer TW 7200
General I/O description
3.3.1
A 9-pin plug connection is available on the TW 7200 sample changer for connecting an I/O box ( Fig. 1, pos.
6). The devices available for this purpose e.g. the MP 25 pump or a peristaltic pump) can be connected via this
I/O connection. The I/O connection is controlled via the TitriSoft PC software. There are 4 outputs and 1 input
available. The necessary commands can be taken from the command list (see section 5).
Electrical properties of the I/O
3.3.2
The inputs and outputs of the I/O connection are galvanically isolated from the titration sample changer
electronics by means of TCMT 1600 optocouplers. No power consumers can be switched directly. The pump and
valve units available from SI Analytics
Inputs of the I/O connector
3.3.3
When using the input, the input must be connected to ground potential. The TCMT-1600 optocoupler has been
used.
The pin assignment is shown as follows:
Input
1
Common mass
The state of the input can be queried with the command "aaIP".
The response is: "aaIP0" or "aaIP1" depending on the state of the input.
Outputs of the I/O connection
3.3.4
The outputs of the I/O connector are assigned as follows:
Output
1
2
3
4
Common mass
When using an output, the respective output is pulled to ground by the sample changer. Maximum current load of
the TCMT 1600 optocoupler: 50 mA.
The "Pump 1" and "Pump 2" connections
3.3.5
These connections, located on the rear of the instrument, are used to control a connected pump (e.g. MP 25) or
valve. The built-in relay can switch a voltage of 24 V and a current of 2 A. By means of 2 different commands, the
two connections can be switched on and off. The connections can also be switched on time-controlled via a
command.
can be connected directly to the I/O unit via a cable.
