4 Function description
This EcoTrans II pH can be used either as a control device or as a measuring transducer.
Control output
n
This function type comprises a controllable current output with adjustable PI control
behaviour (continuous controller). In addition to the current measured value, the
display shows the current control variable at the current output in % and the set control
direction.
n Measuring transducer
With this function type, the device records measured values in the range 0–14 pH and
converts them into a standard signal of 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA. The display shows the
current measured value and the corresponding standard signal value.
Relay outputs
Regardless of the setting for the function type, two relay outputs can be used with pure
threshold switching behaviour (on/off).
Both the direction of action and the switching threshold can be set separately
for each relay.
Relay 1 switches 230 V in the standard version

Relay 2 is designed as a zero-potential changeover contact

Enable signal
The enable signal can be used to enable or block relay outputs or current output.
n External contact closed:
Relay outputs or current output active
On the display, an open padlock is show to the right of the second line
n External contact open:
Relay outputs or current output blocked
On the display, a closed padlock is show to the right of the second line
