Operation
Adjusting the heating bath
temperature
✓ The base device is switched on.
✓ The heating bath is filled with oil or
water.
✓ The evaporating flask is immersed in
the heating bath.
➜ Adjust the desired temperature via the
temperature knob.
✓ As soon as you set the temperature to
≥ 100 °C, "oil" is shown as an advice
in the display.
Water is not permitted as heating bath fluid at temperatures ≥ 100 °C.
For safety reasons, "oil" is shown as an advice in the display as soon
as you set the temperature to ≥ 100 °C,.
➜ Press the temperature knob to start
heating.
✓ As long as heating is switched on, the
temperature knob lights up orange.
✓ The heating function is indicated by
a heating symbol next to the tempe-
rature display.
➜ Press the temperature knob again to
switch off heating.
The orange light ring flashes if residual heat is still present after switching off.. The
flashing frequency depends on the level of the current residual heat. The flashing stops
once the residual heat drops below 50 °C.
The display of the residual heat is only available when the device
is switched on and when in standby mode. The residual heat is not
displayed if the device has been switched off via the main switch (ON/
OFF switch).
Protecting setpoints

You can protect both the setpoint for the rotation speed and the setpoint for the heating
bath temperature from unintentional adjustment.
➜ Press the respective rotary knob for approx. 2 sec. to lock the setpoint.
✓ The locked value is indicated in the display by a frame.
✓ Turning the rotary knobs has no effect on the setpoints.
➜ Press the rotary knob again for approx. 2 sec. to unlock the setpoint.
✓ Turning the rotary knobs will change the setpoints.
