Start-Up
Switching the device off
➜ Press the ON/OFF switch on the left side.
✓ The display will go blank.
✓ The device is switched off.
Setting up the device

Warning:
Risk of slipping device!
Due to an unsuitable surface or as a result of vibrations generated
during the operation the device may tilt or start moving and slide off
the table top.
The installation surface must be smooth, level, clean and temperature
resistant.
Avoid shaking and unwanted impacts to the device as well as at the
installation surface.
➜ Set up the device on a solid, smooth, level and temperature-resistant surface.
➜ Clean installation surface and feet off the device with a damp cloth and ethanol
regularly.
Heating bath and flask lift

The heating bath can be filled with different heat transfer fluids, e.g.,
20° C to 90° C
20° C to 170° C
150° C to 210° C

Mortal danger! Risk of explosion!
Heating bath fluid oil with a flash point < 285 °C could catch fire at
high heating bath temperatures and lead to uncontrolled thermal
reactions up to an explosion.
➜ Use only oil with a flash point > 285 °C.
The markings in the heating bath indicate the minimum and maximum liquid levels for
the immersed evaporating flask.
The evaporating flask is moved up and down using a lift and is immersed in the heating
bath in this manner.
When the lift moves downward, the evaporating flask displaces the
already filled in water or oil.
To prevent the heating bath from overflowing:
▪ Prior to filling, move the lift with the mounted evaporating flask
▪ Only then fill the water or oil up to at most the upper mark of the
Tapwater
Polyethylene glycol (z. B. Heating bath fluid Budde)*
Silicon oil with low Viscosity (40 cP), Flammpunkt > 285 °C
z. B. Wacker AP 200 Silikonöl)*
