If torch button 1 is pressed during the current downslope time when using the
TIG 2-step function, the welding current immediately jumps to the value used for
welding. Depending when, during the downslope time, the torch button is
pressed, the medium energy can be selected directly and steplessly.

Setting of the end crater current l
3.5.1. The end crater current is the welding current that is dropped to at the end
of the welding process. The setting is steplessly adjustable between 10% and
100% of the selected current I

Prevention of notches and end crater tears at the end of the seam by too fast

cooling of the weld
 Manual pulsing (see Chapter 3.5.10)
 Welding with reduced current at the end of a seam when working on edges or
hot spots

3.5.12 Gas post-flow time

Setting of the gas post-flow time [13] is carried out as described in Chapter 3.5.1.
The gas post-flow time is the time that passes after the arc goes out and before
the inert gas valve is closed again. The post-flowing of the inert gas protects the
work piece and the tungsten needle from attack by the oxygen in the air until they
are cold. The pre-selected gas post-flow time is only effective if welding has been
carried out previously. Accidentally pressing the button does not complete the
gas post-flow time. This gas management function sinks the amount of inert gas
used.
