Safety notes

Read the operating instructions, in particular,  Chapter 2, Safety notes,
carefully before starting work on this current power source.
Warning!
REHM welding units may only be operated and maintained by persons who
have been educated and trained to operate and maintain welding units.
When welding, always wear protective clothing and ensure that other
people in the vicinity of the machine are not endangered by the UV
radiation of the arc.
5.2
Working under increased electrical danger (IEC
974, EN 60974-1, TRBS 2131 and BGR 500
chapter 2.26)
The REHM TIG welding units meet the requirements
increased electrical danger in accordance with IEC 974, EN 60974-1, TRBS
2131 and BGR 500 chapter 2.26 (S).
For alternating current welding, a safety feature has been built in to the electronic
control. This ensures that when welding using alternating current, the arc is only
ever ignited with direct current and only when the welding current starts to flow
does the machine switch to alternating current. If the arc is suddenly broken
during welding, the machine automatically deactivates the HF and the welding
current. The machine then returns to the basic state.
You should ensure that when working under increased electrical risk, the power
source is not set up in this area. Observe the regulations EN 60974-1, TRBS
2131 and BGR 500 chapter 2.26.
5.3

Setting up the welding unit

Set the REHM welding unit in such a way that the welder has sufficient space in
front of the unit to control the setting elements and to operate it. Secure the
machine so that it cannot roll away or tip over.
Pay attention to the relevant accident regulations when transporting the unit. The
crane eyes option must always be used when securing INVERTIG.PRO
COMPACT systems to ropes and chains, for example, for suspended transport.
Attachment to handles or other parts of the system is not permitted. Please note
the gas cylinder must always be removed before transporting the device using
crane eyes.
Danger! Electrical voltage!
Do not use the welding unit outside in the rain!
