Press button for welding procedure

The press button [1] is used to select the welding procedures TIG welding and
MMA. The display LEDs [2] show the selected welding procedure by lighting up.
3.4.1

TIG welding

The setting of the welding parameters for TIG welding is carried out as described
in Chapter 3.5.
3.4.2

MMA welding

The setting of the MMA welding is carried out as described in Chapter 3.11.
The electrode is arc carrier and additional material at the same time. It is made
up of an alloyed or non-alloyed core wire and a coat. The coat is designed to
protect the welding bath from damaging air entry and to stabilise the arc. In
addition, a slag is formed which protects and forms the seam. In MMA mode it is
possible to weld just about any metal. MMA is a modern and easy to use method
of welding.
When setting the MMA method, ensure that a TIG torch is not connected. If you
do not do so, the error number "E021" will be shown in the digital display (see
Chapter 8.3).
