Welding current I

Setting of the welding current I
The range that can be set for the welding current I
mode and the type of machine.
With the press and rotate button [27] the following values can be set according to
the selected welding procedure:

welding with pulse function can be divided into two types:
3. Conventional pulses with pulse times between 0.1 ... 5.0 seconds
4. High-frequency pulses with pulse frequencies between 10 Hz... 15 kHz
With the press button [21] you can select the welding procedures conventional
pulsing and high-frequency pulsing (see Chapter 3.8).
When TIG pulse welding, obviously, during the welding process it constantly
switches between the currents I
which current is the greater high current and which is the smaller low current.
Figure 3 displays the current procedure when pulsing.

Figure 3: Welding current when pulsing
Whilst welding, pressing the torch button 2 switches the pulsing off and back on
again. If torch button 2 is pressed when pulse welding current is active, the
pulsing is switched off and you can continue welding using welding current I
This can be used, for example, to use the lower welding current I
additional material can be introduced, and pulse welding is reactivated by
pressing torch button 2 again.
Conventional pulsing: Pulsing with pulse time from 0.1 to 5.0 seconds

The times and welding current levels should be selected in such a way that the
basic material is melted during the high current phase and re-solidifies during the
low current phase. The TIG pulse welding makes the welding bath much easier
