3.5.16 Push and rotating button (R-Pilot)

The press and rotate button [27] is positioned centrally and easily operated by
both left and right handed operators. The special receptacle means that it is very
well protected against mechanical influences. The press and rotate button has no
stopper which means that it cannot be rotated too far.
3.6

Functions

The press button [17] is used to select the modes 4-step and 2-step function. The
display LEDs [18] show the selected mode by lighting up.
3.6.1

4-step function

When 4-step welding, the button does not need to be held down constantly, this
allows the operator to work for a longer period of time without tiring.
How the 4-step function works:
 1. Step – Press torch button
Magnet valve for inert gas is opened.
The arc is ignited after the set gas pre-flow time
The welding current has reached the value set for starting current
 2. Step: Release torch button
The welding current automatically sets the selected upslope time to the pre-set
value for I

 3. Step: Press the torch button
The current reduces with the preset current downslope time to the value set for
the end crater current
The welding current flows at the value set for end crater.
 4. Step: Release torch button
The arc ceases
The inert gas flows in accordance with the selected gas post-flow time.
