Setting the Concentration

The DG 3 is delivered from the factory with an 840 l/h flow rate limiter. Consequently, a
concentration range of 0.25 – 5.0 % is possible. A maximum of two fixed concentrations
can be specified within this concentration range.
Settable concentrations:
0.25 %, 0.50 %, 0.75 %, 1.0 %, 1.5 %, 2.0 %, 2.5 %, 3.0 %, 3.5 %, 4.0 %, 4.5 %, 5.0 %.
And with another flow regulator: 6.0 %, 7.0 %, 8.0 %, 9.0 %, 10.0 %
The most frequently used concentration should be set as concentration one, since you can
only carry out one tapping process with concentration 2.
Thereafter, the system automatically switches back to concentration 1.

Depending on the concentration set, the maximum permissible water throughput is shown in
NOTE
the display. The flow regulator may have to be duly replaced.
Delivery state: Flow regulator 14 l/min (840 l/h).
Concentration range
max. 10 % (0.25-10%)
max. 5 % (0.25-5.00%)
Following the concentration setting, this must be checked as defined in chapter
WARNING
"Calibration" and, where necessary, correct the DLA steps accordingly.

Calibration

You need the following aids to check the concentration:
• A bin with a capacity of 10 l and a measuring scale to collect and measure the quantity of
water.
• Suitable measuring cylinders to collect the disinfectant.
The concentration is set in accordance with the following formula:
C = Concentration (%)
VD = Volume of Disinfectant (ml)
VW = Volume of Water (ml)
Example:
Required concentration = 0.5 %
plus a safety factor of 10 % = 0.55 %
