Description of Operation Sequence

6.1

Normal operation

When the "START" button is pressed (see chapter 5.4, Fig. 5.3), the solenoid valve
(see chapter 5.1, Fig. 5.1, Item 4) for the water infeed is opened. At the same time, the
metering pump (see chapter 5.1, Fig. 5.1, Item 14) is activated which draws in disinfectant
in accordance with the concentration setting from the product reservoir (see chapter 5.1,
Fig. 5.1, Item 19). The disinfectant is added in proportion to the overall quantity and
concentration and is mixed with the water to create a ready-to-use solution in the swivel
spout (see chapter 5.1, Fig. 5.1, Item 8).
Tapping continues until the preselected tap quantity is reached or the "STOP" button
(see chapter 5.4, Fig. 5.4) is pressed. During the tapping procedure, the remaining quantity
is displayed on the plain-text display screen, which counts downwards.
The LED (see chapter 5.2, Fig. 5.2, Item 30) flashes green.
You can freely adjust the tap quantity between 1 and 99 l by pressing the "Up" and "Down"
buttons (see chapter 5.4, Fig. 5.5). You can specify up to five fixed tap quantities by
activating the "Selective tap quantity preselection" function.
The entire flow is now controlled by the integrated microprocessor control unit.
The pulse water counter (see chapter 5.2, Fig. 5.2, Item 5) records the water quantity
supplied to the system. The control electronics (see chapter 5.1, Fig. 5.1, Item 18) activate
the digital linear actuator motor [DLA] (see chapter 5.1, Fig. 5.1, Item 13).
The motor drives the double-effect piston metering pump (see chapter 5.1, Fig. 5.1, 14).
This ensures that the disinfectant is added in proportion to the quantity. A flow monitor
(see chapter 5.1, Fig. 5.1, Item 15) positioned upstream of the admission point constantly
monitors the flow of disinfectant. The water flow is monitored using a water pulse meter
(see chapter 5.2, Fig. 5.2, No. 5). The device switches off immediately if there is a product
deficit, water deficit, or a fault.
The red LED (see chapter 5.2, Fig. 5.2, Item 30) and the display flash red, and a
corresponding error message appears on the display unit.

input temperature be exceeded; also refer to the Technical Data in chapter 15.
Furthermore, the instructions which are supplied with the relevant chemical product must be
followed.

Staff code

The
DG 3
allows you to restrict authorisation for tapping to a certain personnel and to
record the product consumption on a per-person basis.
You can set up to 15 different 2-digit staff codes.
If the staff code function is active, the user must enter his or her staff code on the operating
panel before pressing of the START keys (see chapter 5.4, Fig. 5.3).
If an incorrect staff code is entered, the release for tapping is not given.
