8.17.1.2 Automatic mode
• This mode can be selected via the global parameter "Control mode" (selection
= "External control"). The output "Control in Automatic" is set in this mode as
soon as the signals of the EA field have been applied.
• After switching on, the system waits until the field bus is running. Until then, no
programs are active in the controller.
• When the active fieldbus is detected, a startup routine is run. (includes
undocking / if necessary loading the gun data / if necessary activating the gun /
new spot selection).
• It is then independently of the inputs "Robot Manual" or "Robot Automatic"
switched to "External control" via the fieldbus signals.
• After each change from manual mode to automatic mode, the startup routine is
also run through.
• While the controller is touching down on the IO field when changing to
automatic mode, the bits "Welding controller ready" and "Servo controller
ready" briefly go to 0.

8.18 Vehicle identification
• The IO field has been extended by 20 bytes on the input side.
• The 20 bytes are evaluated as ASCII characters and these are stored in the
welding log under vehicle identification.
