8.5.1

Function description

• The drive control switches from "Operation Mode" (AF, Ab or bb in the drive
display) to "Parameterization Mode" (PM) and activates the drive function
"Parking Axis" (PA in the drive display).
• The motor is now torque-free, the brake is closed and the motor encoder is no
longer supplied with voltage.
• A connected MGDM is de-energized via an optocoupler.
• The gun can now be undocked electrically and mechanically.

8.6

Measuring (position reset)

8.6.1

Functional description

• During measurement, the gun close and determine the closed position (tip
position in mm referred to the rear fixed stop of the gun).
• Prerequisites for this are loaded and activated parameters, as well as drive and
positioning enable and reference.
• The gun then moves back to the valid setpoint or to the opening position of the
associated WeldJob.
• The "Measure" function is used for "Referencing with measurement",
"Geometry measurement" and "Measure after dressing".
• The selection of the respective function (Geometry measurement / Measure
after dressing) is based on the current electrode tip status.
First measurement with new tip = "Geometry measurement".

The value "tip distance after tip change" is determined

in the tip positions
Measuring after first dressing [wear > 0] = "Measuring after

positions.
