11. Adjusting the rudder linkages

First, start the transmitter. Make sure that the motor speed and rudder joystick is in the lowest position.
a) Checking the digital trim
Before adjusting the rudder linkages, be sure to check the digital trim on the transmitter. This is important because the
trim setting is saved. The transmitter always resumes with the last trim values set before it was switched off.
The digital trim is set using the trim buttons (see Figure 13, nos. 2, 4, 9 and 11). The complete trim range comprises
approx. 20 individual steps in both directions when viewed from the middle position. The two end positions and the
middle position are signalled acoustically by a longer beep.
Press all four buttons one after the other and set the trim to the middle position. The transmitter beeps at every trim
step. The LED indicator on the transmitter goes dark briefly at the same pace.
b) Checking the servo lever position
With the trim adjusted, you can check the position of the
servo levers.
To do this, plug in the fully charged flight battery (1) to
the flight controller inside the model using the XT60 con-
nector (2).
The motor function joystick must be in the lower position.
The flight controller emits 5 beeps via the motor and the
model is then ready for operation.
When mounted correctly, the servo levers must be aligned
at approx. a 90° angle to the servos (dashed line).
Check the alignment with the two tail unit servos in the fu-
selage (upper picture) and the aileron servos in the wings
(lower picture).
