12. Changing the transmitter assignment (mode I/II)

You can skip this section if you want to operate the model in remote control mode II, as shown in Figs. 19 - 22.
Some users prefer remote control mode I.
The difference between mode I and mode II lies in a completely opposite assignment of the joysticks for the motor
function and elevator function. In mode I, the right joystick is responsible for the motor and aileron functions and the
left joystick is responsible for the elevator and rudder functions (see left picture in Figure 26).
Figure 26 shows the joystick functions for the two different control modes:
1 = aileron control
2 = elevator control
3 = speed control
4 = rudder control

The remote control allows the changeover from mode II to mode I and vice versa. For this purpose, the joysticks
must be switched electronically and the neutral position adjusted mechanically. This can be done without opening the
remote control transmitter. Observe the following steps.
