Then insert the two wing retainers (see also Figure 1,
no. 9) from above into the dedicated slots on the back of
the fuselage.
The opening (1) should point upwards and the wing retain-
ers must be pushed so that they are flush with the surface.
Our tip from experience:
Before mounting both wing retainers, be sure
to guide narrow strips of adhesive tape (see Figure 9, no. 5) through their upper openings (see Figure 9,
no. 9).
The side with the adhesive coating must face up.
Then bond the two sides of the adhesive tape together to form a loop (see Figure 9, no. 6), which allows
the wing retainer to be easily pulled out of the fuselage.
e) Checking the tail unit alignment
With the wings in place, you can easily check the orientation of the tail units. To do this, look at your model from behind
from a little distance. The tailplane and tail fin must be aligned at a 90° angle to each other. In addition, the tailplane
must run parallel to the wing (see Figure 10, sketch A).
An inclined position of the tail fin (see Figure 10, sketch B) or the tailplane (see Figure 10, sketch C) can be corrected
by inserting or underlaying thin cardboard strips.
