The SICK LFP level sensor has two digital outputs. Both switching outputs are transferred as process
data via IO-Link. The Q2 switching output is also switched at pin 2 of the M12 plug. In SIO mode, the
C/Q1 switching output is switched at pin 4 of the M12 plug. In communication mode, this pin 4 is
reserved exclusively for communication.
With frame type 2.2, 16-bit information is transferred from the level sensor. Bit 0 indicates the switch-
ing status of switch Q1 and bit 1 the switching status of switch Q2. The remaining 14 bits indicate the
analog measured value of the level sensor in millimeters. The level is measured from the end of the
probe upwards in the direction of the process connection.
