(Viewlinder Eyepiece-Blind Lever)
When photographing in the AUTO mode using the self-timer or
the remote control system, the photographer's eye is not there to
shade the viewfinder eyepiece. Thus stray light admitted through
the unshaded eyepiece can possibly affect the exposures. In
such instances, you can close the blind inside the viewfinder by
operating a lever located to the left of the eyepiece. To close it,
turn the lever in the direction shown by the arrow.
