6.9 Adapting the back upholstery (Fig. 52)
You can adjust the back upholstery in segments according to your needs.
To do this, remove the back upholstery padding and undo the hook-and-loop fasteners on the
straps. (Fig. 52).
Reposition the straps as desired, attach them again with the hook-and-loop fasteners and co-
ver with the padding.
The contours of the adjustable back will result from the user's individual requirements.
INFORMATION
Please do not make the straps too taut to allow for some play. A well-adjusted backrest provi-
des relaxed, lasting comfort for the wheelchair user and reduces the risk of secondary damage
and pressure zones.

le, i.e. between the backrest tubes. The padding must have sufficient sag in the lower section
(pelvis) in particular.
6.10 Adjusting the back height (Fig. 53/54)
With the "Back, height-adjustable/adaptable" option, the height of the back tube can be ad-
justed. Adjustment can be made within the hole matrix at intervals of 25 mm over a range of
100 mm. The adjustment range is determined by the selected back size (175–275 mm, 250–
350 mm, 300–400 mm).
1. Preparation: Take off the wheel and secure the wheelchair by jacking it up. Also remove other
add-on components (e.g. anti-tipper or desk side panel mountings) that might be installed
and connected to the back tubes.
2. Loosen and remove the upper and lower screw on the rear frame on each side (Fig. 53,
item A, B).
3. Loosen and remove the screw on the clamp bracket of the side panel on each side (Fig. 53,
item C).
4. Slide the two back tubes to the desired height (Fig. 54). Adjust both back tubes to the same
height.
Please note: Make adjustments only within the range provided for the back tubes (175–
275 mm, 250–350 mm, 300–400 mm). Always use two screws on each side to fix the back
tube.
